Nurturing childhood through education and activity.

Miss Heather and the 2011 Friday early childhood class nestled in the hay castle.
Earthsong Farm School and Summer Camp combines Rudolph Steiner's ideas about the education of the whole child with the practical hands on experience of farm life.
Summer Camp children spend the the day outside in the fields, in the forest, and in the barns participating in farm activities, including caring for the farm animals, primitive skills crafting, and playing in the hay. We incorporate farm chores, animal husbandry, and projects into our daily routine. Each day we stroll through fields to visit the various animals or down the lane to explore the woods and the diverse offerings of this beautiful working farm. Summer farm stories, snacks, games, and crafts fill out our experience rich day.
At this time, there is no school year program.

The Initiative:
The Earthsong Farm School, an initiative of the Deck Family Farm, is situated on 320 acres of mixed farm and woodland. Inspired by the Waldorf movement and dedication to family and community, we strive to create a nurturing, conscientious open space for children to grow and develop through practical hands-on activity and the experience of a working farm.
